In March 2021, Double D Productions launched the syndicated radio program called The Rhythm Ride hosted by owner Donald Davis (Double D). By December 2021, the show was rebranded as Double D’s Classic Hip Hop. In 2024, the show welcomed co-host, Eric Hollywood Davis. Double D and Hollywood have been radio colleagues and best friends for over 30 years beginning at V-103 in Baltimore, MD. This two-hour high-powered musical program features “Classic Hip-Hop and Throwback R&B”. Along with tested and researched music that moves your audience in that weekend party mode, Double D’s Classic Hip-Hop delivers timely banter between the host that connects listeners with their favorite selections and musical expertise. The “Artist Spotlight” with radio veteran Brandi Shannon gives you a behind the scenes look at illustrious artist, sometimes from her own personal experiences. The “Hip-Hop Insight” hosted by the culture’s guru D-Bey not only gives you a backstage pass, but also the street perspective of the artist with a delivery that is unparalleled. Other features in this dynamic program are “Pay Tribute to the Sample”, the “Classic Time-Machine”, “Top 5”,  “Pulse Doctor’s Master Mix” and “The World Wide DJ Kyle LaRue”.

Double-D’s Classic Hip Hop delivers incredible music that you’ll sing along to, memories and details (some known, forgotten, and that “ah yeah” moment) that allows listeners to feel that one on one relationship between the host and themselves. So, strap in- tight and get ready for a two-hour ride of a lifetime that you wish would never end!
